The kris has long symbolized power in the kingdom of Shakhbila, a fact well known to the Sultan. Unable to find Al-Shakkur's true dagger, he secretly hired an ambitious young blacksmith to create a counterfeit that would buy him time. Yet, fate sometimes holds unexpected surprises. During a journey to obtain the precious metals needed for its manufacture, the young blacksmith accidentally discovered the legendary kris, buried under the sand of an oasis. This moment would radically change the course of his life.
